Fantastic - we'll be back
A beautiful house in great location for exploring the area. Stéphanie and Fabrice provide an excellent stay, not just professionally in terms of creating a beautiful space and being on hand with help and advice, but also as friendly and convivial hosts – it was great to be able to chat with ‘locals’ and find out about Périgord life beyond the guidebooks. The home cooked breakfasts and tables d’hotes were excellent, as were the available selections of locally produced wine and beer. The 80s vinyl collection and Atlas the puppy were joyful added bonuses!

Very nice week
We spent a whole week here, and could easily have stayed longer. A beautifully kept and very comfortable house in a good location. Stephanie’s recommendations were spot on, and she even booked a tour and some restauraunts for us. It was lovely to have a quiet relaxing garden to sit in at the end of the day.
We can’t wait to return!
This was our favorite place to stay in all of France! Lovely, convivial setting. Stephanie & Fabrice made us feel like the entire gite was our home. Our room was cozy & quiet. Perfectly located. Breakfast was delicious with home made delicacies. We also enjoyed dinner one evening. And don’t miss a balloon ride over the Dordogne. It was amazing.

We spent two nights at Les Hauts de St Vincent and wished we could have stayed longer, not least to have experienced one of the legendary suppers. Stephanie couldn’t have been friendlier and more helpful in deciding where to visit (Josephine Baker’s Chateau across the river was amazing) and places to have supper – we loved the evening we spent under the walnut trees with the BBQ boys particularly – for meat lovers only.

We spent 2 nights at Les Hauts De Saint Vincent in July and absolutely loved our stay!
We felt that Stephanie and Fabrice had really thought about every little detail. Our room was large, stylish and very comfortable and it was lovely to be able to have a coffee in the room first thing, watching the hot air balloons fly past our window. Its a lovely memory we have.
Stephanie was so helpful and made our stay exceptionally comfortable.
The breakfast was plentiful and delicious!
We definitely look forward to returning and would highly recommend a stay at Les Hauts De Saint Vincent.

Style and Comfort
Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome by Stéphanie as we took in the beauty of our surroundings. The stone house is so beautiful from the outside but even more so on the inside. Fabrice and Stéphanie have created a stylish house filled with mid-century furniture, many books and even a record player; no sign of a tv anywhere! In the communal areas we were able to relax with free tea and coffee or reasonably-priced alcoholic drinks.
Our stone bedroom was very pretty and we also loved the tiles on the floors and bathroom walls. The bath and sink are reclaimed and all the toiletries are eco-friendly. A comfortable bed and Nespresso machine completed the bedroom experience. As the weather was poor during our stay we didn’t use the pool but I wish we had been able to sit around it or take a dip.
Breakfast was delicious and provided a chance to speak to other guests, as did the excellent table d’hôtes dinner we had one night. As we were there for four nights, we met several other couples who were all so friendly. I think people who come to this family-run hotel are sociable types.
Another impressive thing about les Hauts de Saint Vincent is its green credentials. It holds a Green Key certificate for eco-tourism and sustainability; indeed, while we were there an inspector came to look at the home-made and locally-sourced produce among other criteria. Stéphanie and Fabrice take this very seriously.
As you can tell, we loved staying there and enjoyed our hosts’ beautiful house and warm company too.

Superb house in a perfect location
We stayed for 4 nights and would have stayed longer if there had been availability. It was a good choice. The house has been beautifully renovated to a high standard and our room was light and spacious with a lovely view. The dining room is spacious (with more splendid views) and tea and coffee are available throughout the day. The sitting room has lots of seating, books to browse and an honesty bar. It’s really nice to have somewhere to relax, especially if the weather isn’t great. We had as many dinners as we could book and wished we could have eaten in every evening. The food and wine were excellent. The location could not be better, with many places to visit nearby and the possibility of walks. Stephanie had many helpful suggestions of where to go and good local restaurants.
We have stayed in many Maison d’Hotes and this is one of the very best. Highly recommended.

Great hospitality in a wonderful setting
This is a wonderful old Périgord farmhouse with glorious views from its position above the Dordogne river valley. It has been sympathetically and lovingly restored by its enthusiastic owners and makes an excellent base for exploring this delightful part of France. Rooms are stylishly and inventively decorated with splashes of vibrant colour against the old stone walls. Stephanie is a lively and welcoming host, full of helpful suggestions for places to visit. Les Milandes, which we could see from our bedroom window, will tell you the fascinating story of American-born Josephine Baker and Commarque, in its remote and peaceful setting, conveys a marvellous sense of timelessness. She will guide you, too, to some of their favourite places to eat – we loved the simplicity of Les Courtines in Roque-Gageac where you can watch hot air balloons drift along the river. Breakfasts at Les Hauts are delicious with a range of home-made jams, fresh pastries, juices and refreshing fruit cups. Stephanie also prepares an excellent dinner on three evenings a week when she and Fabrice join their guests to enjoy the meal together.

Magical Perigord
We have just returned home from our first magical visit to the Perigord where we stayed with Stephanie and Fabrice (and Cannelle!). It exceeded our expectations in every way–the location, food, camaraderie, and balloon ride were all a dream come true. The house is quiet and peaceful, yet within an easy drive of the caves and chateaus in the region. We look forward to returning in the coming years. Highly recommended.

We had the most wonderful 6 days at Stephanie’s B & B. Not only is the area worth the time but staying with Stephanie is a delight. It is very evident that she loves what she has created & puts her heart & soul into this piece of paradise. The rooms are lovely the breakfast delicious & her home cooked dinners are a must. A beautiful, tranquil place to stay!

Excellent cooking class
My daughter and I had a cooking class with Stephanie and stayed to eat it with her and two other guests. She is a very good teacher, whether the task is basic or elaborate. The food and the company were great. This will be one of the highlights of our visit to the Périgord.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days and were joined by our pregnant daughter and son in law for 7 days. The accommodation was stylish and comfortable and Stephanie could not have been more helpful. She genuinely seems to enjoy meeting her guests and enhancing their visit. Could not reccomend it enough. My Daughter and I just returned from a fabulouse say in the Gite at Les Hauts De Saint Vincent it was perfect gave is space to chill but also the availability of advice and an amazing meal cooked for us by Stephanie. A Must Stay
My family recently stayed four days at Les Hauts de St. Vincent and enjoyed every precious second of our visit. The hosts, Stephanie and Fabrice, were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgable of the sites of the Dordogne from the “sky” and from the land. Superb cuisine was a treat as well! Will we return to Les Hauts de St. Vincent? Very likely!

What a fantastic place! Stéphanie and Fabrice have created a superb guest house, full of character and comfort, with a wonderful warm welcome. The food is local- much homemade- and delicious, and the whole atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The cooking lesson was great fun, relaxed and I learned a lot. Not to mention that the results were delicious!
The views from the house and indeed the pool are spectacular. Being able to see Château des Milandes and the Dordogne river is very special, and you’ll see no shortage of birds of prey overhead too.
It’s a fantastic place to base yourself for a Perigourdine adventure, being only a mile from Beynac and about 2 miles or so from La Roque Gageac, amongst other delights. This is the sort of place that you don’t just visit once. It’s that wonderful that you’ll be planning your next visit before you finish this one!

I want to thank Stephanie and Fabrice for a wonderful time when we stayed at Les Hauts de Saint Vincent for 4 nights. First, the house is fabulous, they totally renovated an old farmhouse to modern standards, the rooms are spacious with great views, there is a large dining room for communal breakfasts and dinners and a huge kitchen in the basement where Stephanie does cooking classes. Second, Stephanie is the perfect host, her breakfasts, homemade cakes, breads, jams with fruit, varied from day to day. She also does dinner for her clients twice a week if they wish to stay in. The location itself is great, there are so many things to see and do in the area., don’t miss the the prehistoric cave drawings. There were many excellent restaurants in the area which Stephanie recommended and was kind enough to make reservations for us. The food everywhere was amazing. The highlight of the stay was certainly our ride with Fabrice in his 4 man hot air balloon. We took off from their back pasture and flew for over an hour. Following the Dordogne river and flying over chateaux and castles was a fabulous experience. Many, many thanks to both Stephanie, Fabrice and their son for a wonderful time in a beautiful and interesting section of France.
